The Dubai Shipping Agents Association is a non-profit organization and not engaged in any commercial activity. It provides a forum for members to pool information.

Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers and Agents (FONASBA)

The Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers and Agents (FONASBA), is the only organisation representing the global ship agency and ship broking professions. Established in 1969 it now has members in 60 countries, including all major maritime and trading nations. Its remit is to “promote and protect the professions of ship agency and ship broking worldwide”, a task which it undertakes through dialogue with its member associations and its consultative status with IMO, UNCTAD, UNCITRAL and the World Customs Organisation, as well with the European Commission and other regional bodies. FONASBA also enjoys reciprocal memberships with the Baltic Exchange, BIMCO, the Comité Maritime International, INTERCARGO, INTERTANKO, the International Port Community Systems Association, indemnity insurer ITIC and the Shipbrokers’ Register and works closely with all other maritime sector bodies, both internationally and in Europe.

Maritime SheEO offers a bouquet of services focusing on the business case for diversity. It aims to create solutions that can impact the maritime and allied industries – with a focus on diversity & inclusion (D&I), leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and competitive advantage.

We work with organisations to create a level playing field for women and environment conducive for women to rise to leadership positions. We have conducted important research to highlight the business case for diversity. Our goal is to increase the participation of women and eliminate all forms of biases in the Maritime Industry. Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers

The Middle East branch of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers was established in 1995. Initially called the Dubai branch covering members in the United Arab Emirates, the jurisdiction of the branch was extended to the entire Middle East: Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti, Sudan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE & Oman; and renamed as the Middle East branch.

The Middle East Branch of the Institute is one of the most active branches worldwide. With over 250 members working in different segments of the shipping industry, the branch has a prime position among the professional bodies in the Middle East. Regular networking sessions, academic sessions, specialized training, and corporate training programs are conducted on a regular basis. The student Awards Night, a glittering ceremony conducted every year in Dubai and attended by over 250 business leaders and guests from the region is a permanent event in the Dubai Shipping Calendar.

UAE National Ship Suppliers Association

UNSSA (UAE National Ship Suppliers Association) is one of the National Associations of ISSA, the International Ship Suppliers and Services Association which currently has 43 national associations and 227 associate members world-wide.

The main function of UNSSA is to protect the interests and rights of its members and to represent them with the relevant government departments and port authorities to have better understanding with all the UAE ports authorities and its regulations, thereby improving the quality of ship chandling services.

Formed in 1974 in London the Women's International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA) is an international networking organisation whose mission is to attract and support women, at the management level, in the maritime, trading and logistics sectors. WISTA UAE’s founding members are Rania Tadros (President), Meena Mathews (Treasurer), Christine Mavromichalis (Secretary General) and Liana Kouimtzi (Marketing & Events Manager).
